John Hopkins to Host Two Field Hockey Clinics – Boys & Co-ed

Clinics Scheduled for October 11 and October 25
BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins head field hockey coach Megan Fraser will host two clinics at Homewood Field this month. The first clinic, sponsored by USA Field Hockey, is scheduled for Saturday, October 11 and is for boys aged 7 to 19. The second clinic, scheduled for Saturday, October 25, is for players (boys and girls) aged 10 to 18, as well as coaches.

The boys clinic will feature current US Men’s National Team player and Johns Hopkins assistant coach Ajai Dhadwal as a coach, along with US Master’s Men’s Players and the rest of the Johns Hopkins coaching staff. The clinic is scheduled from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and all experience levels are welcome. The cost of the clinic is $15 and includes an official #NoOffDays t-shirt. The October 25 clinic is scheduled for 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and will be run by current Johns Hopkins field hockey players and coaches. For players, the clinic will include stations run by Hopkins coaches, alumni and current players. Participants will learn both technical and tactical skills before playing in a series of 7 v 7 games. A unique 40-minute lesson plan will offer a collaborative opportunity for coaches and goalies to learn common language and set goals for future training sessions. For coaches, the clinic will analyze 7 – 10 player skill station drills, including coaching points and variations. Tactical classroom discussions on playing systems, pressing, corners, and requests from the participants will make this an informative and fun morning of hockey. The cost is $50 for coaches (free with 10 or more from your program attending) and $100 for players. For more information, visit the website here.
